Life is Good Again and Pork Chops

Life is good again, yesterday I went to my cardiologist for a post-surgery check. He did a battery of tests and said all was well, no issues and most of all no damage was done to my heart. And he would see me in six months. Yahoo!!

So with that it’s back to grillin and chillin and yes I remember that show. Although now it it’s leaning toward a more healthy lifestyle.

For this cook I took some thin bone in pork chops and made a low sodium marinade. Let the chops marinade for about five hours.
I set aside some marinade for basting.

Barb cooked up a yellow squash with EVOO and a salt free seasoning which was great and a side salad with no salt dressing.
Simple dinner and It all was very tasty and I didn’t miss the salt at all.

Beautiful plate & great news!

I did a no-sodium thing several years back. Vinegar tastes very salty but has zero sodium.

Great news on the checkup Rich. That meal looks great and healthy - grilled chops are one of my favorite foods. making it heart healthy too is a win-win!

Regards,

John

Great report Rich, I cook healthy stuff 90% of the time and splurge the rest. Eating a dish like you posted is doing both at the same time. Well done.

Rich....glad to hear/see that you are doing well. There are so many tasty and healthy recipes on the weber recipe site. You and your young bride take care my friend.
