Hi. Bought a JJ about a week ago & decided to break it in yesterday.
I bought a Craycort CI grill for it, & one for my SJG. I broke in the empty grill with 1/2 a chimney of coals & seasoned the grate. I found that the charcoal grate bars are a bit wide. Then the light went on! The old cooking grill for the SJG is a near perfect size match for the JJ coal grate. I turned the SJG cooking grate upside down, rotated it 90* & tie-wired it at four points. Solid.
The initial cook was boneless pork chops & boerewors sausages. (Homemade bbq marinade, sprinkled with herb & garlic seasoning).
Thar she blows!!!!
Your serving. Baby new potatoes. Rocket/radish/spring-onion/red pepper/mozzerella salad.
Enjoy & Thanks.
