If You Could Go Anywhere For A Year?

Where would it be? I could spend a year exploring Alaska, and making
pictures of the Aurora Borealis, and be very happy.

Where would you go and what would you do?

I would like to apend a year on the Yucatán Peninsula eating great food and cave diving.

Alaska is on our bucket list as well.
We live about at the the furthest northwest point of the lower 48.
Wifey wants to to spend a summer driving up and exploring that area.

San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala. The most beautiful place on the planet.
If I were there a year, I would probably stay for the rest of my life.

North Carolina

Why?

It would take me that long to meet all of the grand nieces and grand nephews that live there. (thanks to my brother that took his family there.);)

I would like to spend a year on a big cargo ship. Crossing the oceans and exploring all the ports of call.

JAPAN, loved it when I was stationed there, the people are nice and friendly, kids would run up to you and practice their english on you, beer was good also. ;)

Spain. I walked the Camino de Santiago Frances. If I had a year I might walk 2 or 3 different routes. In month met people from many countries and almost every continent.

I would be happy just to stay here in Arizona, so much to see and do as long as I could travel without worrying about the covid and masks and things.
I'm also a big fan of the author James Herriot who wrote about his life as an English country veterinarian. They have walking tours of the country areas that he worked in but alas my walking days are over, although that would have been something I would have loved to do but it wouldn't take a year to do.

Rich, I agree with you. I have lived in South Florida since I was a little girl and there is so much more to see of this state.

Argentina. Especially the southern part. Seems like a really cool place, and the south American cuisine and Malbec wines in that region would be awesome.

Joan, have you spent any time in New Smyrna Beach FL? I think it is mostly off the radar, but have been visiting
there for about 40 years.

Hi Bob, I'm sure I have, but it was so many years ago, we use to spend a lot of time at Daytona Beach.
