You should try living in UT! Liquor & Wine are only sold in state-run "State Liquor Stores" (not at the grocery store, costco, or anywhere else, and they're closed on federal/state holidays & Sundays). We have a nice assortment of beers that are up to 4.0% abv, but higher than that.....gotta go to the liquor store for that, or brew your own.
It doesn't bother me too much, but I always find it strange when I'm roaming. A vendor sent me a highly wrapped case (12 22oz) bottles from Stone (Arrogant Bastard Ale, etc) - now that was a nice surprise!
