I will just leave this here

Did they have the glass cabinet grills in the 80's? I would love to talk to the guy and ask. I wonder if it may have started it's life as an NG grill?
I don't think the glass cabinet ones started until around 1990. That one certainly has an interesting assortment of Weber parts. Some clearly taken from an '87-'88 Genesis.

Looking through our collection of brochures and catalogs, from 1986-1988, there are only Genesis I,II, and III grills (along with the XX and XXI as the Jr. was known then). The IV and V seem to make their first appearance in 1989, by which time wide slats were no longer being used. So, I would say that Genesis V body with glass has slats either from an older grill or homemade in that same size.

Gold in Indy for 20 bucks!

Here's a good deal. Looks mostly dirty. I suspect, however, that given there is no scale that this is a half-baked conversion job from NG to LP.

That's a really good deal Bruce! In Washington I can't get ribeye steaks or ribeye roast for even close to that.

Arizona I can get some really good deals though at a really nice grocery store by my house. This was last year's Ribeye roast sale. I had them cut into Steaks. I should have got more. Maybe this year.
