I will just leave this here

That is very interesting! I have a hard time believing that was red to begin with. Just because those red lids have held up so well. I currently own 10 red lid x000 Genesis grills and I have yet to see one faded. At first I thought maybe it was a chocolate brown in strange lighting situation but I don't know. The color looks pretty uniform all over. Even in the corners behind the handle. Also I don't know if that black handle is original to that lid or if it was painted black but I have seen those black durawood on a few of the chocolate brown grills I've seen. But the rest of the durawood slats are gray. I'd be very curious to see it in person if it was close in my area.
I think I'm a little over an hour away, and I don't want my wife to stab me in my sleep 😂

Gotta say that I am REALLY happy with the first whole bird off the roti!!!! I can't believe I've never had one before.... I was 'this may years old' when I finally figured it out. I think this will become my new favorite way of doing whole birds - the Redhead really does it justice!!! Such an even cook.... and the smoke tube actually worked VERY well too.... there would never be a time I WOULDN'T use it.

I love rotisserie chicken as well, I do 2 at a time on the summit 650

I just picked up two big juicy rotisserie chickens from Costco for $4.99 each😂 break them down when I get home and separate the white meat and the dark meat. Cook down the Bones and skin in the Crock-Pot tonight for broth and make chicken soup tomorrow.
