I will just leave this here

All rusted tubes can easily be replaced, if you're a welder 🤔
Yes, but to get all that right including tight tolerances for the holes for the hinges takes a lot of work. You would also need to be sure the hinge hardware is still there. I think many of the glass door grills suffered a similar fate. If you really love them and have the resources, then, sure, it can be done. It would have to be a "keeper" as nobody would pay a fair price for the cost it would take to accomplish all that.

Not sure if these knobs were intentionally torched. But clearly it spent a lot of time in the direct sun, and the lid somehow looks like the best part?!

I've been fighting a bad case of Weberitis for a couple days now...

Maybe there's a reason I haven't picked up a green lid Genny yet, and this is it?

Looks like they combined parts from a Silver C or Gold onto a 1000 chassis.

Who would do such a thing?

Oops, maybe I would :D

Yours looks nice!!

I like the “hybrid” stuff. Like Bruce’s FrankenGrill. I have every intention of doing the same things. I respect the purist restorations. But also love making a great grill out of multiple eras.

I can appreciate good workmanship whether it's to my taste or not. I want to see what other people are doing and what they like. It's interesting to see other people's visions and see them get excited about their projects.

My latest curb find. Gained dirty but promising tables, frame end caps, a solid cookbox and grease tray, and a pair of pretty nice wheels. Once the kids are in bed I’ll be going after that beautiful black mica lid. The frame was shot (the pieces I was really hoping would be good), but I’ll take the other victories. Cheers 🍻

Grates and side tables? I’m in the same boat! I like those tables!

In another note, does this bolt being so off center drive anyone else bonkers?

Just the grates. 9930s are the ultimate score. If you come across a pair don't hesitate. About $350 for new set. Perfect fit for Genesis x000 and currently the best option.

The owner looks to be a metal scraper. I told him I just want the grates and he can keep the rest of it if he wants
