I really don't have time to work any of them. I have tons of other projects lined up including some antiques I want to repurpose. But I agree they are tempting. Especially this one which I forgot to mention:

Yah, right guys. I have never seen either a Summit or Platinum in the wild, so to me they kind of get grouped into that "other Weber" category.
Jon, I would probably grab that grill. Although it looks like it has some structural issues, it is free. And if nothing else, I would love those black end caps and knobs along with several other parts. If the frame was still good, then that would be awesome.
But at 200 plus miles, it is not feasible and I wouldn't ask my sister to try to pick that up for me.
Speaking of frame issues, I saw this old 80's Genesis II (I think) pop up on CL but there seems to be a lot of rust and it would be a 60+ mile drive.

Oh boy, there have been some real gems on Boston CL:
$750 and it comes with a Spirit lid

That is not a Summit it's a Genesis but sadly it is missing a pretty much unattainable part the left side table or I would be all over that like white on rice
Well if you want one and you're going to be in the cities any time soon maybe you should check this out, I think it's a platinum:

If it has a side burner, it'd be a Genesis 3. 60+ miles is a long drive, but that side burner with the stainless area is kind of cool.
