I haven't seen any 2800's for sale used yet. I would grab one of those up if they hit the sale sites for a good price. But my Q200 does just great for me as is. I also have a couple Q3xx grills out back that I could put into service very easily as well.

Yeah, IDK any number of things could have happened on that incident. From a grease fire, to a tank hooked up wrong. Kinda hard to do a grilltopsy from a couple photos and an aftermath. Good speculations though. And yeah the smaller Q's are designed to or have the ability to run on small bottles BUT let's not forget Weber themselves sells an adapter and IIRC on some even includes it to run the same grill on a larger tank.
So, can't necessarily point to that as a "fault" of an operator

I’d been watching these as I absolutely LOVE the grey color of these! My brother was in that area this weekend and grabbed them for me. All of it is in really nice shape.
