I will just leave this here

And, if it is an issue, you can always fine another cook box. Though the 2 burner boxes from that era are not quite so common.

This listing has been up for many weeks.

The price dropped $25 this morning, but would probably sell for less :

If you are looking to rehab a grill for personal use, that is a great candidate. Those SS frames are awesome. I would offer $50 if it was near me. I picked up one last week for $50 without the side burner.

Here is something interesting- Fortunoff was a local family owned department store that had a reputation for selling quality- lots of made in USA goods- 30 or so years ago. They closed the Manhattan store many years ago but still have an outdoor furniture store near me.

I guess this is a rebranded grill?

This showed up today about two blocks from my front door. If I hadn't driven 40 miles to get mine already, I might have been tempted. Even though they are hard to find, the price is a little more than I'd pay. Good thing it's not under $50 or I'd have two and an angry wife.

I think a lot of coal burning guys would dispute that assertion. But, I am sure there is a loyal CharQ following out there. It is likely the most expensive portable coal grill Weber ever made.

Again, according to the ad Weber only made that grill for three years.

Good, bad or indifferent it probably wasn’t a good seller, profit margin maker or both.

If one pops up around me for a reasonable price I’ll check it out.

Yah, they didn't last and I am sure that is due to sales. However, they are now collectable as they are not very common.

Yah, but I had a guy drive about 3 hours to pick up one I rehabbed a few years ago and he paid over $200 for it.

Looks like they are out there:
