Yeah that old Summit could put out the heat. First it had 1/3 more BTU than a Genesis of the same square inches, also the cook box had steeper angles internally and produced heat closer to what you were cooking. It really was an ultimate cooker in so many ways. Too bad Weber never saw fit to simply "improve" on that grill with a better fire box and a rear burner for spinning. That would have truly been the ultimate cooking machine
