I'm starting to build some weberitis resistance or I'd have picked it up already.
Yes you have developed a resistance, which is good. I pretty much much only have a weakness for those old platinum series grills and skylines. I can resist all others.
 
The Platinum series was the top of the line Genesis 1000 to 5000 grill. In reality, the biggest difference about it was the extra graphics on the lid which I find highly desirable.
Like this one? I'm hoping to get this cleaned up to sell soon. The platinum will be durawood on a genesis 2000 frame.

Finally finished with the 05 Summit Platinum, new wheels, casters, new lid and thermometer installed. I found a company that custom makes casters in Toronto, Algood Caster Innovations. They can make any configuration you need. $12. each.

Congrats on doing a great save on that Summit! I hope it gives you many years of good grilling :cool: .

Thanks Steve. Now I get it. My Platinum is from the Silver line. Didn't realize the 1000 had a Platinum option too.
