Hammer. So the bolt. Is there a fail safe if it won't back out?
Could the frame be disassembled so that the box is just attached to one rail?

Or perhaps you'll mutter to yourself, "those rat ba$t#@r$"Super helpful, guys. When I have it all disassembled and in the Miata, I'll think of you and mutter to myself, "Victory!"
Johnny Dangerously?Or perhaps you'll mutter to yourself, "those rat ba$t#@r$"
Yes, if it's available I'll bring moving blankets and wrap well.Be careful of the hood hinge pivot. Pad it very well so it doesn't wear into the upholstery.
No idea on a movie quote, but stuffing a geni 1000 into a Miata in winter in Washington state?Johnny Dangerously?
Ha Ha, picturing that does bring a smile. No idea on a movie quote, but stuffing a geni 1000 into a Miata in winter in Washington state?
I think some just want it to not get taken to the dump, no longer need it and don't need the money. It makes me sad to think that someone feels that to get rid of it they have to give away such a nice, genuine classic Weber. I would like to believe there are people who would pay a good price for one of those - assuming it is fully clean and functioning.
You're right, and whoever owns/owned it obviously tried to keep it nice. It makes you wonder what the story is on it.It makes me sad to think that someone feels that to get rid of it they have to give away such a nice, genuine classic Weber. I hope to find out. You're right, and whoever owns/owned it obviously tried to keep it nice. It makes you wonder what the story is on it.
Just twist that bolt off if it is stuck. A wrench and pair of locking pliers is all you need. I have to do it all the time on rehab grills. However, you will probably have to drill or punch it out of the cook box once you get it home. That would make me nervous too. If you can't get the bolt out that holds the firebox in, you're dead in the water. They can be a little tricky sometimes.
