I will just leave this here

Yah, the guy isn't going to sell that any time soon. Clearly, he made a mistake buying it and thinks it is still worth nearly what he paid for it. The problem is, these grills are like vehicles, the minute the roll off the car lot, they are worth half of what you paid for them. It is probably worth about half what he paid for it and he will still have a tough time selling it. It would help if he at least wiped down the outside and got it back to looking new.

Add to that since Weber has gone to the "dark side" they are breaking their own MSRP rule and allowing retailers to undercut each other. So any hope of a Weber product holding value is gone. Maybe he'll get $200. It's all I would give him

Wow, Dave! You better jump on that one:o.

Has anyone else noticed the huge price difference between the 3 and 4 burner Genesis II models?

You can get a 3 burner Genesis for $699. Which is the same # of burners our old 1000 and B models have. And to me that's a pretty fair price considering the old models went for roughly $500 to 550 and also considering inflation.

But a 4 burner Genesis II base model goes for $1,150. That's about $450 more. That's crazy.

Here's one in South Florida for $800:

I have seen them for less, but I do like that this one is the "brick red" color. I think these 4-burner and the bigger 6-burner ones might hold their value a little more percentage-wise because of their size. Since they discontinued the 6-burner, I think these might actually become more prized by some people, at least once the discount sell-off inventory is worked through. I like that one and felt that it was a viable alternative to the bloated 6-burner Summit if all you really need is a lot of basic grilling space. Much simpler and easier to maintain, move, etc.

I was in Home Depot yesterday and they had two of the new Genesis II 3 burners. One was price $150 more and I could not for the life of me tell what the difference was. Same grates, same lids, no extra burners. Then, I realized the more expensive one had the closed cart. Personally, that one should have cost less. hahaha.

Brand new 2019 Genesis II E-435 with 4 burner, additional sear burner and side burner for $870 in our area. Some outlet chain with several stores in our area is selling these grills at dumping prices.

This is $300 below HD and Lowes price and $435 below MSRP.

And the same store sells brand new 2018 E-410 for $680.

If that four burner +sear has the 9mm stainless grates that is really outstanding and definitely highly competitive. Still pricey but definitely a WAY better than average grill. I don’t see how you could buy anything else new that would offer a better price vs features mix.

I thought I bought a rotisserie but I was wrong. Last Tuesday I found one on OfferUp and it had the option to ship. Do I bought it, put in my payment info and the other was exceped. I got a few notices from OfferUp saying that the seller was reminded he needs to ship between then and now. Two days ago I got a message from the seller that he was sick and would definitely ship the next day. I responded and told him no problem I understand things happen. Well, today I got a message that the seller cancelled the order. I checked and the rotisserie is posted for sale again.

Check out this Weber gas BBQ rotisserie #9890 for $25 on OfferUp https://offerup.co/44Inx1tpNU

I asked if it was still available, and what happened but I don't get any response. I don't know. Maybe shipping was more expensive than what he expected. It's local enough that I could drive out and pick it up, but the $7 wos worth it to me to save (not have to make) the time.

Even though I tried to contact him something tells me that I will not be hearing from him.

That is a good deal for that roto. However, I have yet to see one with blue on the end like that one. I wonder what that is all about.

Offerup is basically CL with a slicker user interface. If he is selling it for the same price you originally agreed to, then I have no idea what his problem is. The dude in the picture looks pretty shady to me too. If I were you, I would just walk away from this one and be glad you have your money back....you did get it back, correct???

I just sent him an offer to have him ship it for the full price of $32. However, I have no intention of following through, I just want to see what he says and I will let you know if he responds.

Kind of goes back to what I was talking about yesterday. I don't believe the
shipping prices that are posted there.

Agreed Dave. Seems the shipping prices are whatever the app calculates based on the weight of the item when you input it.

Yes I did get my money back. He relisted for the same price as the first time. Or never even bothered to unlist it. I also offered him his full price plus the shipping cost also. It's a good price but I don't think he's going to respond back to me. I could go pick it up but I have no desire to personally interact with him. Not after the dealings I already had. I hope you get lucky and he accepts your offer, and actually follows through.

Jason, no, I would not complete the transaction. I am just interested to see if he responds. I will not buy that, no way. I will let you know if/when he responds.

But that is a good deal if you can grab one for $32.

If I had offered to pick it up in stead of opting to pay for shipping I would probably already have it. But I thought even with the cost of shipping it was still a good deal and I would save myself some time. Well that didn't seem to work out, and someone will get a good deal, but I'm done trying to deal with this guy. Maybe I should post this in the buy sell section also. It would be nice if one of us was able to get it.
