I Love Lamb

So, picked this little rack at Costco. Never understood how I can buy Lamb or Beef brought all the way to Nj from the other side of the world and it is cheaper than I can buy lamb here in NJ.
But I digress, trimmed some of the fat off and seasoned with a light dusting of garlic powder, Kosher, fresh ground and my favorite for Lamb. Herbs de Provence. Coming to room temp

Seasoned Baby Yellows and one small red onion with basically the same. Both drizzled with EVOO before the cook

Grillin in the rain, anyhow, some Jack Daniels chips in the box, potatoes in the microwave for eight minutes then on with the meat at 425

Thought I would share, our favorite everyday wine. It is good stuff

That's a nice cook, Sergeant. You do not know nothing.;)

I'm still fairly hesitant about lamb, although there's a farm about an hour from me and the meat comes from animals that are under 10 months old and less than 150 pounds. I've bought it a couple of times and it's very mild, without any gamy flavors.

A lovely looking meal, Bill. You're killing me with your lamb posts.....I'm the only one who likes it in this house, so it's rarely on the menu!!! Guess I'll live vicariously.....

PS: Good to chat with you today!

Never had a lot of lamb before but these lamb posts of yours are peaking my interest. Really looks wonderful Bill.

WOW!!! That looks fantastic Bill, your plated pic tells the store just right. Just pass a plate this way and I'd be in heaven. It's been a very long time since I've had lamb, maybe time to give it a shot again. Thanks for sharing you wonderful cooks with us.

Man that's the understatement of the year (note it's day 349 of 365) :)
They look amazing as does everything served with them. I like how you cooked them in the pan, with the bones up on the side wrapped in foil. That made for a beautiful cook

Rich & Barb, lamb is a staple here- rack of lamb is a great easy cook- and just made for a good red wine- and cooked on a Weber- it's the way to go!
Bill you have done our product proud, Bravo.

Holy Heavenly dinner...........I love lamb and that looks unbelievable........crazy lookin good.

Looks great. I like to serve lamb with a yogurt sauce.

Here is one recipe I use. You can throw a little feta cheese in it too.

Yogurt-Garlic Sauce:

1 cup strained (or Greek) plain yogurt
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Few shakes of granulated garlic
1 teaspoon minced fresh mint leaves
lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt

In a medium bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth and creamy. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine.
