Barb has been so wonderful in taking care of me, cooking, being my nurse, shuttling me back and forth to the doctors and the list goes on.
Her birthday was Monday June 11th so I decided the least I could do was give her the night off and make her a birthday dinner. I asked her what she wanted and without any hesitation “one of those inch and a half ribeys” she said.
Now it’s against the rules around here that a premium steak gets cooked on a gasser. Yes I broke the law and fired up the JJ. But watched it closely and snuffed it out when the steak was done.
But did do a couple of small bakers on the gasser.
Steak just had SPOG on it, cooked to 125.
I was going to do the sides while the steak rested, but if you guys know Barb she isn’t going to sit still. When I came in she had the BS cooked and also some caramelized onions in Yoshidas teriyaki sauce.
We’re both exhausted but getting through it, one more doctor’s appointment tomorrow than a week off.
