How NOT to operate your grill

Some of these are clearly staged for the camera. Some are clearly real mistakes. Some are terrifying.

How many Weber's can you spot?

Neighbor of my parents, some 30 years ago, had a horrible charcoal lighting experience. After the 1st try was apparently unsuccessful, he squirted more lighter fluid on the briquettes. It immediately flared, he rocked backwards on his heels, and rotated the bottle backwards. He sprayed his head & neck with burning fluid, and got 2nd and 3rd degree burns. It took him a long time to recover.

Yes, there's a lot of Einsteins in there.... I couldn't watch more than a few seconds, I have very little tolerance for this level of stupidity.

I didn't watch it all, but I was struck by the absence of Weber chimneys and newspaper. Bad flavor is not the only reason to avoid charcoal lighter fluid.

(Also, turn off the burner before lowering your turkey into the oil.)

This is very good advice, even if you've done this before, you're sure the bird is fully thawed, and you're sure the bird is fully dry. I've never had this problem, and I hope I never do.

Amazing none just closed the lid on and most of those fires would be under control.
The rest I have no opinion on
I've had a couple good Grease inferno's like those. I suppose I wouldn't make a good video candidate since I shut the burners off and shut the lid, and the problem took care of itself in short order.
