Been on the road for the past five days. Took a couple of my grills of course. Grilled every nght and posted every cook except for the one the night before we left. Wanted to keep it simple and it was pretty stormy too. Chili Dogs sounded good. Didn't have any of my homemade chili with us so went with store bought on that. Did a small macaroni salad to side things up. Here's a few quick picks.

Casper's foot longs and Johnson's Chili.

These were really good. The chili was OK. Wouldn't describe it any stronger than that. Nowhere near as good as my homemade.

Now that's what I call great road food. I love chili dogs, but still haven't perfected a really "that's the one" chili for my dogs yet. Been using wolf brand chili dog chili, okay but not super good.
 
Awesome looking dogs Cliff. With all the wonderful things we grill, smoke, and otherwise create, there's nothing quite like a good old dog.
 
I haven't had a chili dog in years. Now I'm craving one (or two or three)!
They look super.
 
I love Casper's Hot Dogs. I have some frozen, I need to go get them. Casper's was my old hangout when I was in high school, we would fill their parking lot full of cars. Good old days
