When Barb and I lived in Cali we used to go up to Napa Sonoma at least once a year. We lived an hour away from the Temecula wine region in Southern Cali spent lots of time there.
We had a friend that had a small winery there and every year I would go and drive the tractor with the gondolas behind while the pickers filled them up then take them up to the crusher.
My pay for a week's work was three cases of his outstanding cab. He only made about 6-700 cases a year and sold out every year.
He's long gone now and his winery is a housing tract.
