I'm a big INO fan! I read a really good Forbes article that provides insights on how INO has fared during the pandemic and the challenges and opportunities they have given their unique status as a non-franchised, family owned business.

I'm friendly with the managers at two INO locations I visit, both say their sales are up big-time this year over last year, despite closed dining rooms. The drive-thru makes the difference. Compare that to Five Guys with no drive-thrus...they're dying.

Anyway, back to the post title...INO is known for hardly ever changing their menu, but the Forbes article says there will be a new sugar-free ginger beer at INO in 2021. I don't know much about ginger beer, but I like ginger ale. Same thing?

Not quite. I am so happy to hear this news. Ginger Beer is my favorite thing to drink Try it, you'll love it.

Aurora (Denver) too.

So, I have never had the privilege of one of these burgers. Have heard it is quite the phenomenon.... hence some of the unbelievable times of lines/ wait of these two new openings.

Funny name: In and Out. Is this becuase they are quite greasy and one needs to be in "close proximity" after eating one?

If Canada Dry and Schweppes are your ginger ale benchmarks I think you'll find ginger beer to be a bit more gingery/spicy. And incidentally, Canada Dry's new "Bold" ginger ale is some good stuff.

Because they were one of the earliest, if not THE earliest, drive-thrus in California. No dining room. You drove in, ordered at a speaker, paid at the window, got you food, and drove away. In and out.

Does ginger beer have alcohol in it? Or is it like what they serve in Harry Potter land at Universal studios?

Because in n out takes awhile to get you your order, I've always called it "in n wait" lol.

I was into ginger ale and bourbon for a short while.
The new Costco coupon book has $5 off a 12 pack of Bundaberg ginger beer, starting today through 12/24/20.
I've never had a ginger beer or a Moscow Mule, although I would like to try the latter.

I don't know about Australian Ginger Beer, but here in America, Ginger Beer is like a soda. Like Brad said, a little on the spicy side.

One just opened in Colorado Springs, reports say there was a 14 hour line formed.

INO just opened their first two locations in CO. Folks camped out in their cars to be first in line.

They've been expanding outside of CA very gradually -- AZ, NV, UT, TX, OR. Now finally CO, which has been in the works for several years.

Their MO is to first build a factory/distribution center, then followed by a sloooooow roll out of retail locations. There won't be one near me for probably another 12-18 months.

Barb and I love INO. We get our cheese burgers animal style, really great fries too.
Have to try the ginger beer when they get it.

Animal Style Burger.

Animal Style In-N-Out burgers are cooked in mustard, and include lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and extra sauce/spread. You can also add whole or sliced chili peppers.
