For the first time found a piece of Tri-Tip at my local Costco. It was in a pre-marinated bag which I didn't care for, but I'd never seen it before and had to try it. Seared it over the vortex and then off to indirect with a chunk of hickory and oak on the grate. I think I over cooked it by about 5 degrees and it was a tad salty, but all in all really good. Really wish I could just get a plain Tri-Tip next time though.
Washed it down with a homebrewed all citra hopped pale ale.
