My new kettle post here.
Bob, you may get kick out of this: Saveur's 200th issue came out last winter, we finally got our free copy from the thrift store. On the cover is a pic of grilled chicken, inside is a recipe for Cornell Chicken. I'm reading the preamble and they're talking about how the recipe was developed at the university and I'm thinkin' to myself: I thought this was Bob's recipe... Heh - heh, of course your name isn't Cornell - just a little geriatric dyslexia on my part. I did get a chuckle...
Anyhoo, I'm also thinking this will be a great inaugural cook on the kettle. We got a "picnic pack": three legs and two breasts (head scratch). Here they are, getting happy in the marinade
veggie packet, which contains a new favorite of mine: La-Yu chili oil. Good stuff
almost a full chimney of Kingsford Hickory, indirect, everybody on
the glow from below
back inside
and onto our plates
My first time making Correll, I mean Cornell Chicken! Definitely a keeper. The kettle ran like a Weber does: Perfectly! I know I'm gonna like those daisy wheels. Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya around the fire.
