Jo had her monthly bunco game with the gals, so I headed to my man cave with my best friend.

And an old friend.

Some call the color maroon, others call it burgundy, so I call it oxblood.

Oiled, seasoned, and foil wrapped Idaho.

It'll be another month before Jo gets her jungle out of my cave.

Now the faux part of my title.
I had grabbed some on-sale "chuck eyes" out of the freezer.
I say to Brooke, these puppies don't look like normal chuck eyes.
She agreed, and told me I better look at the meat, not just the label, from now on.

Looked through my pics twice this morning, could not find an action shot!
Guess my old friend talked too much, and distracted me.

The tater was excellent, as were any tender parts of the steaks.
I'll eyeball my 'eyes' better next time.
And yes, Brooke got her share.

Have a great weekend folks!

What an evening..hanging out with old friends..ya I bet Brooke is quite the talker!! Haven't seen that 18 in a bit either!! Looks like a good evening hanging in the man cave!

Nice

Thanks guys!

No Jim, that's my made in the USA, 10" Old Hickory knife, as used by the BBQ Pit Boys.
Need it to whack my way to the back door.

Wouldent mind a plate like that right about now...As always Top Notch my friend. An evening in your cave with some beer and food cooked by you IS on my bucket list.

Glad to see you and your best friend's had a great grill night. Keep living life to the fullest my friend.

When my "old friend" whispers is when I get into trouble:)
We can all picture what the missing action shots looked like: beautiful meat + fire = smile!

Great post Bob, whatever cuts they were you sure did them nice. It's nice to be solo once in awhile, I'm doing the same tonight. Cheers my friend

Bob, whatever they were they look great! With my two land sharks I haven't had a whole steak to myself in years, but they’re my buddies so it's okay.
I got one of those knifes too and it’s got so many gadgets on it I think I could rebuild a small block Chevy with it.

Chuck eyes or not, they look darn tasty to me, Bob! I'm sure they were Brook approved as well.

Super looking food and pics!

Is the Swiss Army knife a Tinker?

Just bought one to give to my father next time I get together with him. I have several Victorinox knives.

Thanks for sharing.

Great looking steak dinner Bob!!! Maybe Mr. Walker visited your butcher too, thats why they are labeled wrong???
