I'm going to update this throughout the day as I progress, doing my annual cook for the family while my brother is in town from NYC.
Finally got the backyard 100% finished yesterday. We went from a small deck with 4 feet of grass to a pretty good sized space, but it wasn't easy. I'll spare the details, but let's just say that taking apart a brand new deck you paid someone to put in because they did it 16" too high, and didnt warn you that you be standing over the top of your fence on it sucks.
Did all my prep last night so I fired 4 racks of BA's on the kettle at 10am for a 6-7 hour no foil cook. I started using skewers to space the ribs late last season because I found they would lean I each other and not cook 100% awesome.
Cooking them with the smokenator, maple leaf bring and Weber apple chunks for smoke. My homemade rub on there as well, of course! An hour in and they are coming along nicely.
