Dodged A Bullet


 
A few years ago we had a weird hail storm here. With stones like that (literally) "spiked". And it tore up our roof, dented garage door on my back garage (cheaper steel one) unlike the main garage heavier gauge that is "foamed in" and so did not dent. But our roof looked like someone went around with a ball peen hammer and went nuts. This last storm had more "normal" or smoother ones and thankfully no damage
 
I’ve never seen hail like that other than in pictures.
Are they as hard as rock / ice or are they softer ?
I imagine those gotta hurt.

Can’t those brain ya if you get beaned by one ?

Hard. And with all those spikes.😬
The proper procedure is to gather all you can and put in the freezer so you can show your friends. Or the News crew. LOL

Yes, I imagine so. I've heard that cattle have been lost to them.
We get hail pretty often but those are not too common.
The smaller stuff does plenty of damage on its own.
I've been lucky not to have to personally deal with more than about golf ball to a few baseball size hail.
(That's Okie for Praise the Lord, Chuck.) 😋
