Sort of but no. Not at all interchangeableDoes that era summit (4 burner type) share a frame with the fat frame genesis?
Some of the tubing is same size, frames are roughly same size but very different from fat frame Genesis. Dimensions front to back are different due to different locations of control panels for one thingDimensions are different I would imagine, but the tubing sizes are likely the same?
I would have loved to have gotten that one, but alas on a trip and it’s already spoken forLooks like a clean classic. Jon......................

I’ve got a Gen 1 SSP with gas assist that I picked up and refreshed. I’m shocked that not a single person locally has shown any interest in it yet. Contrast that to my gassers which are usually gone less than 24 hours after I post them.I've been considering grabbing one of these first gen performers
If you have the means to store several grills until next spring. That might be optimal. However, I would keep what you have up and keep listing new rehabs. You never know when someone is going to see the grill of their dreams and pounce.Prices in my area have gone down substantially since spring. Tom, I have a real hard time moving coal burners too. Kettle are near impossible to make a buck on and Performers just don't move either. Especially by mid summer.I’ve got a Gen 1 SSP with gas assist that I picked up and refreshed. I’m shocked that not a single person locally has shown any interest in it yet. Maybe the coal burners just don’t like me…I’ve got a Char Q that I got zero takers on as well.
You can burn charcoal on the ground with a with rocks as a fire ring and whatever cooking grids you can scrounge up and still get good results.Tom, I have a real hard time moving coal burners too.
