Ok , all last week I was sick as a DOG with a bad cold that turned into bronchitis (thought sure I had pneumonia).had to take antibiotics and all that..... Anyway I'm just now starting to feel better and I really wanted some nice red meat for a change. So I went to the market and found some shoulder steak for 3.29 lb and bought a hunk. I brought it home and needled it good with my handy dandy needler and shot it up with Frenchs classic steakhouse marinade in the ridiculous little squeeze bottle.;) Put the leftover marinade in a ziplock with the meat and into the fridge.

Got 2 nice russet potatoes which I diced up , coated in oil and sprinkled with weber lemon pepper spice.(that should be good , right?) Got 2 ears of fresh COC and I can't lie to ya , boys. That is goin in the microwave in the husk....sweetie won't have it any other way , and I ain't rockin that boat. knowhutumsayin?

well I'm not gonna look later.
nuked corn? hmph! :p
Seriously, nuked corn is great, and so are "baked" potatoes from the microwave.
Sorry about your illness, are you sure that some Habanero Death Dust wouldn't have cured it?
I'm sure you already know this trick:

Ok , this one is in the books. Nice meal. Potatoes were tender and crispy. I pulled the steak off at 130....I think next time 125 but great flavor ,pretty tender sliced thin. I thought the marinade was excellent. Sweetie thought it was peppery. We differ on that. Corn was delightful. Perfect outdoor meal!

Glad you're doing better there Frank
and that corn deal that Bob shown on that video
you can do that on the grill too same thing...
Great looking grub too!

Great looking cook. Made me real hungry just looking at the pics :). Depending on the size of the meat I tend to pull it early. Just did a rib roast and pulled it at 120 degrees. By the time I cut into it the temp was up in the low 130s.

Beautiful looking food! I'd eat it twice a day.

Frank,
That grill new??? Clean as a whistle! Grill grates, grates, baskets all shining bright.

Perfect meal, Frank and I'm glad you're feeling better. I've never seen that French's tube-thingy before. Is it worth trying?

thanks jim. I have done that trick , it works real slick.

thanks , Jose. Yes. I think next time I'll pull it sooner. The carryover heat must've been considerable in a plump steak like that.

thanks Luke , me too. Ha ! Yeah , the grill is brand new . I've used it 3 or 4 times so far. My grill grate I've had for a while.

Thanks jim. I thought the marinade was delicious and it did a lot for the steak....as an injector it leaves a lot to be desired...not sure how well it would even work on a big cut. The stem is only a half inch long. My wife had a coupon so it was fairly cheap , but I'll try anything once. But like I said , it's a real tasty marinade.

hey bob , I hope you came back after all. The steak was really good !
My doctor did not advise using habanero therapy , I asked.
I have used that knife trick on the microwave corn and I love spuds that are nuclearized also.

Very nice steak, potatoes and corn. I like my corn grilled but if I can't have it grilled I'll take it nuked from the microwave every time.

Glad your feeling better! Colds are worse caught in the summer.Steak and crispy potatoes look good! Never had nuked corn! I wonder what they taste like:confused:
