There used to be several Chuck-A-Burgers in the St Louis area, they are down to one, and I haven't been there in ages.
As a teen, in the '60s, CAB and Steak & Shake is where you went to cruise, and I think the remaining CAB still has cruise nights.

I made my own chuck burger for lunch, starting with a thick slice of bacon.

1/3 lb. patty with Oakridge Santa Maria.

Wanted to use up some small pieces of lump, they were burning up too fast, so I took the center grate to the basement.

Maybe not as good as the real deal, but darn good!

In my haste to chow down, I didn't notice the falling pickle until after the fact.

Happy TGIF everyone, thanks for the visit!

Love the picture, we used to cruise a huge Carl's burger joint. I had my 289 HIPO 271 hp fastback mustang then, good times. Barb and I are doing burgers tonight and a little flavor test. Hope ours come out as nice as yours did, great looking burger.

Great looking burger Bob. I think we all had a CAB in our home towns, or at least some version of it. Love that GTO in the forefront Think it's a 68. I had a 69. Hits home!

That's a '65, Cliff. If someone gave me a choice between it and Bob's burger I'd probably have to think about it for a bit.

Hey...maybe this should be Bob's avatar!;)

Bob, your ChuckAburger parking lot shot reminds me of the old Skips Fiesta from days of old. Your burger though looks ready to eat right now. I'd like 2 please.

Really nice burger buddy. And potato salad too. Love see a picture from the time of your youth. Photos perfect as always, of course;)
