Boneless, skinless thighs, straight from the package, dusted with my mix 'o rubs, and onto the grill.

Indirect using lump and cherry wood for smoke.

I had planned to sauce half of them, but a sample taste told me no no no!

My plans were for a huge potato pancake from leftover mashed.
But disaster struck when I tried to flip it.

So I went with the flow, and made lemonade.

Squash and onions were to go on next, but my dinnertime timing was off, so I stoved 'em.

Green can Parm cheese (I know, I know) on the squash, and hot sauce on the, um um, Potatoes Extraordinaire.

Chick and squash were great, the PE was fair to middlin'

But the leftover, leftover, spuds went better with breakfast.

Thanks for the visit!

Bob;
I could really get in to that plate! I liked your "recovery" - when you get a lemon, make lemonade... And you DID!

Excellent lookin' plate and breakfast ain't too shabby either!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who can't flip taters.

I love the color of your bird, how long did it take to cook it?

Karl

Thanks everyone!

Karl, I had to look at my photo info to see the time, it was exactly 1 hour from 1st pic to the platter pic.
Since I was using 2 baskets of lump, I closed the bottom vents 1/2 way to regulate the heat.

Thanks, I'll try that soon.

One more question if I may, I don't have a charcoal grill (yet) so how hot is your grill using the hand method?

A couple of fine looking plates!!! You didn't mess up the potatoes, there is just more surface area for the crunchy bits. Actually they look like they would be perfect for some potato tacos. Nice color on that chicken too!!

Nice cook Bob, love the taters just the way they came out, extraordinaire!
Tell me your take on the skinless chicken vs the skin on version.

This ▼ Is ▼ BEAUTIFUL!!

Any McBob Breakfast is a KILLER! I'd eet um for dinner!
Great Post my Friend!

I think the potatoes look the best with breakfast (even the chicken looks great). But that plate is way short on the bacon.

I don't think any of us would have noticed the tater mishap if you hadn't pointed it out, Bob. I would still eat it all up: breakfast, lunch and dinner!
