Camping

A friend was camped at a real campground so I went and joined him for a couple days. It was really nice. We did had two hours one day of smoke from one of the forest fires (couple hundred miles from where we were camped) one morning. After that it was all sunshine. I didn't take any photos of our camp food. I did take the 14" WSM. Did a tri tip one night and a spatched chicken another night.

We camped at Hosmer Lake. My great uncle and great aunt were the camp hosts there from 1988-2016. He passed away last year at age 93. He was known as the Mayor of Mallard Marsh. Mallard Marsh is the campground name. They had his photo and passing notification on the information board at the fee station.

Here's a few photos of our adventure.

The canoe launch that my great uncle built. He had a fleet of 12 canoes that he let campers use to go paddle the lake.

Wow, you son is all grown up. I'm starting to feel really old.
Amazing that buck is still in the velvet. It's deer season here (costal and some inland)
