Rain Rain Go Away I Want To Smoke In Another Way.

Getting tired of only cooking on the gasser because of the wind rain and lots of hail we had last evening. I’m just glad my E320 is NG or I would have gone through a few bottles of propane by now, a solid two months of this, enough!

Picked up a bottom round roast in the DF section of the meat department for a few bucks and that was on for Friday’s dinner. Sides were boiled red potatoes in the CI skillet with S&P, melted butter and a mixture of chesses. Barb made up some grilled corn on the bone.

The roast was seasoned with SPOG and back in the fridge for a couple of hours.
I got my CI smoker box out and loaded it up with wine soaked wood chips.
Ran the gasser at 325 - 350 for about 50 minutes to an IT of 120. Let rest for 15 minutes.
The CI smoke box did really well, roast had a perfect Smokey flavor.

Simple dinner but was really good, hit the spot on a cold, windy, rainy, ugly, lousy, miserable, hailing night.
I’m done now.

Looks outstanding Rich. Those cheesy potatoes look delicious too. I agree with you on the wind, but I don't think I'll ever complain about too much rain again. The drought up here for the past several years has been terrible. Hope you get a break soon.

Great looking cook as usual Rich. I would bet that roast would work great sliced super thin for sandwiches. Hope your weather improves soon.
