Blue WSM?

I would like to own a blue wsm....:)
I always assumed they came in black. Special order maybe?

If it's a factory finish, then someone knows someone at the factory who could get that done as a one-off cooker. You can't just call Weber and special order a color like that. If it had a logo stenciled on it, I might think it was a custom order like we've seen for Corona kettles or Bud Light kettles.

There's also a chance it is an after-market porcelain job, like I did with the Two-Tone Blue Bullet project.

Thanks, Chris, and Bob for the initial post!

The blue WSM is the real deal. I acquired it from a connected friend of mine. The official story is that it was a "limited run," but no one seems to know what or when. Limited might only be one, which from my understanding, is quite possible to do. I know it's not a very exciting back story, but it is all I know. :(

I absolutely love the color, and while it will be a bit of a challenge to keep showroom clean, the blue really stands out.

It has been years since I've dropped in at the TVWBB. This is such a great community. I'm glad the blue WSM pulled me out of the shadows. I'm going to update my blog post, so anyone who happens to find it there, or on Flickr, can know as much as I do.

Of course, if I ever happen to learn more, I will be sure to pass it on!

Cheers all!
Mike

Hopefully we can see the blue wsm in action soon.:)

as a newcomer, yer supposed to send out samples ! for sure a purty wsm ! can you imagine if weber made all sorts of colors for everything ?
how many more would we have to own ?

Weber could make a killing off me alone if they started selling differen't colored WSM's. I'd snap up a blue WSM immediately.
