Sunday morning in the back yard the wife noticed about 10-12 blue jays. Don't usually see them here. Lived her 20 plus years and seen maybe one or two over the years. Took it as a good omen that we would win this game today.
Saturday while the wife was @ a party, I watched the hawks beat the saints and made chili on the rotten egg. She came back & we had chili during the later game. Chili was hot & spicy
For the games on Sunday we decided to do a smorgasbord type meal, as stated above we had chili, and here is tri-tip going into the pit barrel. The wind had the charcoals flaming hot, threw in some chunks of Wicked Good Lump for added flavor. the tri tip was marinated overnight with Tatonka dust, Pit Barrel Beef rub, garlic salt & Pepper. Good stuff
A hour & 15 mins later the tri tip was 134 and pulled off, it looks guud.
While the tri tip was foiled & resting I put some wings on the grate in the pit barrel with some onions in foil for the tri tip sliders.Sorry no pictures of the wings, way to windy to go out side. The wife does all the pictures.
Oh man those wings tasted as good as they looked. Onions were sweet & moist. Fantastic.
Here is tri tip sliced. Colors looking good.
Here is your plate tri tip slider, wings & hot spicy chili. Perfect game day food for a Bronco win over the Chargers. Patriots up next, time for some payback.
