Birthday Dinner

It was Rich’s Birthday Tuesday so I’m doing dinner and his request was the following:
Nice bottle of wine Sainte-Croix Syrah-Merlot for dinner.

Onions & mushrooms sliced with butter, EVOO and Yoshida’s and of course something to get us by was an excellent Martini or two till dinner.

Brussel Sprouts, sugar, EVOO, balsamic vinegar and dried cranberries in the CIS.

NY Strip B.I. Beef Loin Steak with lite salt, pepper and Mary Teal’s Garlic Lovers Garlic seasoning she sent us which was excellent thanks Mary.

I'm not all that big on dessert except Cheesecake and your cheesecake looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! (as does the rest of your cook for Rich)

Happy Belated Birthday Rich! Your Birthday feast was fit for a King! Barb, love what you did to the Brussels, I've never thought about adding cranberry, but I know now, and will try soon! As for the beautiful cheese cake, one word. Awesome!

Happy Birthday Rich! You are a luck man my friend. I don't know which is a better present - getting a meal like that or having a wife that can grill it for you. Barb - that cheesecake is over the top! Kari wants the recipe for it...

Thanks to all you guys and the ladies too for the HBDs and well wishes. I am blessed with having a such a wonderful lady in my life. Being married to Barb for 31
years has been the best thing that ever happed to me. We have so much fun together as she shares, as I do all the things we both love to do together.
Thank you all for the kind words and yes that cheese cake was off the hook.

Happy Birthday Rich! You are the only person I know (other than my father-in-law) who actually asks for Brussel Sprouts...masking the taste with cranberries is an excellent idea Barb.
 
Thanks everyone for the nice words and it was fun making the dinner. Like Rich said after 31 years we still have lots of fun and cooking together is one of them for sure.
To John and the rest I will post the recipe for the dessert later today.
