First browned some Chuck that was cut into chunks

Roasted a few potatoes, carrots, onion and celery

Sliced the roasted vegetables, added barley, sliced mushrooms, a small package of mixed vegetables, thyme, a few bay leaves, beef base and black pepper. Also threw on a couple of Jumbo butter milk biscuits too. Stew is done, biscuits need about 5 more minutes.

Time to eat!!

Great minds think alike - or fools seldom differ like Mom used to say. Weird. but late yesterday *I* made beef (meatball) barley stew. Yours looks incredible. Next time I'll grill the meat rather than using grain fed hamburger.

Fantastic John! I've asked for a CI for Christmas to make dinners like this, This will be one to do

John, that looks really tasty!
At this time of year, that is right up my street!
