BBQ Pork Belly

This was almost a bucket list item, and I have to say it was no let down. It does not taste like anything I've ever had before, but then it tastes like everything (pork) I've had before. This was fun, I'm glad I did it. It's pretty rich, not sure it's something I'll do again, it probably took five years off my life, LOL

Only 5 years huh, I bet that was rich. But I'm going to take your word on that one. Sure looks good.

KMG-365 We need 50 milligrams of D5W with ringers lactate...clear, hit him again.
For those that remember the old Emergency TV show...;)

You did that pork belly justice Chuck, (Very tasty, one to do, just don't tell your doctor) <<<<<LOL

so is it pretty much like rib meat? I've had char siu (pork buns) and maybe something else but it was served appetizer style so I didn't have a whole brisket sized piece. I watched the first half of the video & then FFD to the good stuff.

Pork belly is my ultimate favourite on the bbq. I cut it exactly like you do, but grill it in strips hot 'n' fast! (Tastes even better the next day).
That cook looks superb! Nice job ChuckO.

Very hard to say exactly. Kind of a "rib" "csr" "pork chop" "loin" blend. Mash all those together, and I think that's how you would describe it. I expected much more bacon flavor than it actually had. I tell you this: One square, and I was full for the rest of the night, LOL

Looks really good. I'd say the belly took a year off your life. But those fat soaked veggies took at least four. :p Regardless, I'd eat that right up.
