We're having a little Indian Summer here for a couple of days, high's of 70 today and tomorrow.
I have tree envy.
The one below is in a neighbor's yard, it is the last sugar maple in our area to turn, and it is beautiful every year.
Now many of y'all know that I'm a meat and taters kind of guy.
So for me, this was an exotic cook, but all I did was put together things I love to eat.
It all started with bacon.
Some of the other stuff was rounded up.
Red pears with evoo and salt on the grill.
Flatbread spread with drained salsa Verde, and topped with cheese.
Grilled pear added with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
Then the bacon.
Try it, you'll like it!
I sure did!
A bit salty and sweet with a touch of heat.
The other half of the pear stayed on the grill, topped with brown sugar, and a tiny sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
To which I later added a scoop of ice cream.
