So much for my healthy diet tonight! After 2 weeks of chicken and fish we decided that it was
going to be a junk food Friday night. The ingredients for tonight:
Onions in a CI Skillet with a little EVOO, sprinkled with a little Weber’s Garlic and Herb then onto
the Performer using lump charcoal and a chunk of pecan.
Sausages were wrapped in hamburger and then wrapped again with 2 slices of bacon on each.
All were seasoned with Weber’s Garlic and Herb.
Sausages onto the performer indirect as the onions are just about ready to come off.
Onions are done and off the Performer. Put into the oven to keep warm.
Sausages were put direct for about 2 minutes each side to crisp up the bacon as we were getting hungry.
Sausages were given a small basting of homemade BBQ sauce.
Another few minutes and they were done.
Plated with some store bought, oven baked onion rings.
I hadn’t made these in several months and they were delicious as ever.
