Anyone else love grilling in sub freezing temps?

Pan of Sloppy Joes simmering right now, a couple of not very interesting pork chops in the fridge. Having my wife in hospital has made a serious “lack of interest” in cooking for myself! May be released back to a rehab unit as early as tomorrow!
Seems pretty fast but, now that the suspect has been taken out of the pain equation, I’m no doctor.

Warmer winters lately. I maintain snowblowers. Too well. Makes no sense to start them. Then have to redo the whole process.
Guess that I'll count myself lucky. I bought us a 28" 2 stage blower (green paint, built by B&S,) when we bought this house in 2009. It's started easily every year, still has the original plug in it. Okay, it does only see ethanol free gas. I did have to have a crankcase seal replaced, it took the shop far longer to get the seal than it did to fix it.

Wow ! !

You're having your own problems. Hope all is well with you.
We've had some very strong winds lately and some devastating fires, but fortunately not in our area (last year was our turn for wind-whipped fires...fires all around, but none too close to us.)

I don't know why, but it's always windy on trash pickup day.

Love seeing those performers at work, still been slacking, not sure when I will straighten up and get back with it, my wife sister is fighting cancer and probably on the down hill as it has jumped to her brain, some things we stopped or slowed down due to time constraints, she spent 6 years at camp Lejune in the navy, reckon the water got her. keep up the cooks I really enjoy seeing folks creations or just burnt food

@MikeCantell Wishing you and your family comfort and peace during this time. I had a family member pass away from leukemia a couple years ago. Hope one day we can cure cancer.

Another 10 degree night, another great time at the grill. Some carne asadas tonight on the Performer and my favorite—B&B lump charcoal.

Good chance this weekend to BBQ in the snow, I'm thinking something on the Rotisserie

First snow since 12/14/24, folks up here get nervous when it doesn't snow

I generally cook any time of year because I don’t like cooking meat in the house. However, there’s no doubt I grill less in the winter and I haven’t done a smoke in the winter in years. Still, it is great to pull out the grill in the winter. If nothing else, it give my neighbors something to laugh about.

In the winter we definitely do more soups and such and the one meat I’ll cook in the house is a BSCB in the oven. It ain’t great but a nice rub and some BBQ sauce and you’re at least half way there.
