Too windy to grill here lately. Had to do some kind of cook other than Instant Pot or stove top, so decided on a loaf of artisan sourdough today. Gotta keep the creative juices flowing
So I pulled out the MM and decided to throw some sliders on it. It performed great. Even getting up to 500 deg I used the topper because the sliders were so small I thought it would be easier
The atmospheric river let up for a bit so I'm smoking some rib steaks.
I'm running low on lump so I picked up a bag of FOGO oak lump. We will see how it goes.
Added some B&B post oak chips thrown on for some extra smoke. Smoking at 250 then I'll reverse sear.
The smoke was too heavy at first to close the lid.
Smoke cleaned up, lids closed, rain is back so it's carefully rolled back under cover. At least there is no wind and it's not that cold at 52 degrees outside.
I guess so far, so good. Soon I need to remove the grates and flavorizer bars and do a close examination. I will post an update when I do.
A very enjoyable grill to cook on .
These were for grilling. I bought a 20 pack many years ago. I get at least 10 cooks per plank. I need to get more, but haven't found ones I like. Not all cedar is equal.

True! I have gotten some that were “cheap” and I got what I paid for! My big issue is I like to do bigger pieces and they do not always fit on commercially available planks, life is so difficult!
