Anybody ever heard of brown durawood?

All back together except that I need a new set of flavorizer bars and a new set of white walls for the wheels. I put it back together in the house because it was raining and super humid in the garage. I'll try to drag it outside tomorrow and take some better pictures in the sun. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it came out. There's always a couple of things that could have been done a little better.IMG_20240620_193743910_HDR.jpgIMG_20240620_193722146.jpgIMG_20240620_193630442_HDR.jpgIMG_20240620_193437510.jpgIMG_20240620_193336745.jpgIMG_20240620_193649097_HDR.jpgIMG_20240620_193402622.jpg

Looks great

The brown is certainly interesting. I am not sure I like it any more/less than the grey stuff, but it is certainly different, unique and interesting.

I scrounged some halfway decent white walls from some other wheels I had. I wet sanded them (gently) with 400 grit sandpaper and then clear coated them. They came out ok and saved me from having to buy the 3D printed ones for $30 or whatever they cost.

When I went and picked this grill up I noticed that it didn't have a hose and regulator on the manifold. I thought that odd and was a little concerned about how long it had been off and if any debris had ended up inside of the manifold. My question was answered tonight. I hook up a propane tank and hit the igniter, nothing. I removed the manifold and started to tear it down. I know it's going to need to be completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned now, I was just taking the chance that it would be ok. IMG_20240621_212842871_HDR.jpgFine, a project for another day. I hooked up a different manifold that I had previously serviced and painted, started on the first click.

How embarrassing, I was putting all of my grill junk away and realized that I had forgotten to put the tool hooks back on. Speaking of tool hooks, has anyone ever noticed that they came in two different styles? View attachment 93937View attachment 93938
There was another style which had the tips bent over, probably for safety reasons . These are on a late production machine.
