Another one gone

Yeah me too.
I was never really a fan of his music but I’ve always viewed him decent guy and a family man.
Rest in peace Ozzy.
Like a lot of his stuff. Recall number of years ago, I'd given my oldest daughter a car and we all (she, an exchange student from Germany we had, myself and youngest daughter) piled into the car with oldest driving. The German girl had brought along some Ozzy CDs and they all commented "dad wouldn't like the music so play something else". Well the collective jaws hit the floor when I chimed in "Of course I like Ozzy". Then my "cool factor" went up many points in their eyes :D

My favorite band!

Sad day.

Glad his mates Tony, Geezer, and Bill worked it out for the recent show. I thought he did his best given his condition and I enjoyed it.

First listened to them in 1970 in Frankfurt AM West Germany on Armed Forces Network (AFN) radio.

My first ever concert

Ozzy was part of the creation of a genre of music.

I'm reminded of the lines of Odysseus at the end of the movie "Troy": changed for this day

"If they ever tell my story let them say that I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names will never die. Let them say I lived in the time of the golden age of music . Let them say I lived in the time of Ozzy."

RIP. 😇

Not a big follower of his music, but he was quite a character. Died just 17 days after the Black Sabbath farewell concert. Timing like that makes me wonder if he was just trying to hang on long enough to make that concert date.
I sure would not bet against that. He sure was a character. The texting ad he was in a few years ago (ended with his therapist saying ".... that's very disturbing!") I found quite humorous.
