A couple of weeks ago, I was driving down the street and saw a wsm sitting out by the trash cans in front of one of my neighbors house.
I pulled over and asked him if he was throwing it away, he said he had lost the lid during a move and that I could have it.
So, I took home a 22.5 wsm in good condition and complete except without a lid.
I found that I could sort of balance the lid from my kettle on it, so I decided to try out out with a brisket.
They came out great!
I needed a better solution for a lid, and i noticed that the bottom part of a weber kettle looked a lot like a wsm lid, so I test fitted it with my kettle
It was a perfect fit!!
So I got on craigslist, and found a weber grill with no lid out legs for $10.
This weekend I'm going to install a handle and a thermometer, and call it done.
