visited a store new to me in nearby Mt. Pleasant Wisconsin and spotted these...

caught myself droolin' a bit so I walked away....
it wasn't long before I turned back and snagged one to bring home.

left it out to achieve a room temp then applied a little EVOO and Kosher salt with fresh ground pepper.
fixed up the Santa Maria Grill with lotsa lump coal then tossed on some large hickory pieces.

Jim, I am definitely filled with envy. I think I will start looking on CL for a Santa Maria. I love the horns on top of the grill. Bet that was a great meal. As always, you are an inspiration.
 
you kill it every time , jim. that is just absurdly awesome looking. I will almost certainly never have a santa maria grill , but I love to see them in action.

I'm just so blown away by the whole thing - The meat, the cooker / raging fire - a wonderful looking day - Monster 'shrooms - its a thing of beauty!
