    Smoking Meats on a GGA?

Steve, I think your Craycort grates, original Flavorizer bar, and mini smoke tube are perfect for what you want to do (burgers/chicken/sausages) on the road.

    Smoking Meats on a GGA?

Steve, a low cost and effective solution for smoking in a GGA would probably be getting a cheap smoker box (or an aluminum foil packet) filled with wood chips and setting it off to one side in the GGA. I do own a mini smoke tube, but I have never tried to smoke meats in my GGAs. My experience...

    Lid-up Go Anywhere grilling

Did some huli huli chicken the other day. I used the Cook's Illustrated recipe posted by JMGarciaJr here (https://tvwbb.com/threads/huli-huli-chicken.29138/#post-117221). I dumped one compact chimney's worth of lit charcoal briquettes for the first half hour or so, then added a second scant...

    Lid-up Go Anywhere grilling

Thanks, Tim, and what a great compliment. I'm working on some other cook variations that include my two gas Go Anywhere grills, as well.

    Lid-up Go Anywhere grilling

The charcoal basket, griddle, grill grates, and rotisserie insert are from Zifa Grills (https://zifagrills.com/en/collections/go-anywhere-kohle) out of Germany (they ship to the States). The portable camping stove is the G2 Firebox Nano...

BTU's of European and North American GGA's?

There's a slight difference. The Weber UK and DE sites list the burner output at 2.1 kW. The Weber US site lists the burner output at 6500 BTU. The conversion factor for kW to BTU is 3412.14 BTU/kW, so: 3412.14 BTU x 2.1 kW = 7136 BTU So, the European version of the GGA is rated 636 BTU...

First cook on my WSM 22” with new Fireboard 2 and fan

Looks like a great cook despite the weather. How do you think it turned out? Would you do anything different? What was the rub you put on the pork shoulder? Salt and pepper only?

    Anyone seen this?

@LMichaels, a PID controller is a "proportional–integral–derivative controller." A car cruise control is a PID controller, where the controller decreased engine output (less gasoline) when going down a hill and increases engine output (more gasoline) when going up a hill. The PID controller in...

Anybody own a Big Green Egg?

I'd be inclined to consider a Weber Summit Charcoal Kamado instead of a ceramic grill. I was going to buy a used XL BGE a few weeks ago for $800, but when I saw pics of it, it was actually a large. $800 was too much for a used large BGE with weathered side tables and a nest. If you purchase a...

Sealing bamboo cutting boards for outdoor use.

Dan, I would not use these. No matter how much I prepped, oiled, and pandered to these boards (indoors, mind you), they still cracked/splitted a couple of years later. This may be a good temporary solution.
