    Weber pizza oven 6520

Just ordered this, it's about 160 euros (about 210 USD) in Finland. I don't know when I get it (current stock 0...). I'll let you know how it works when I get it.

    Using a ProQ WSM stacker

Got mine from Ebay for 25 USD (plus shipping to Finland...). I do think it's worth about that, not much more. There seems to be quite a few available even now for the same price.

    Using a ProQ WSM stacker

It sits just about as nicely as it does on WSM, which is not at all I did try to manhandle the stacker with a saw and pliers, did get the lip bit smaller, but it still is very tight and when it's hot, it might as well be welded on. It doesn't really bother me with rotisserie, I just get the...

    Using a ProQ WSM stacker

I have made the flip-mod, and I'm using it with 18" Bar-B-Kettle (2009-model I got for 40 euros). I don't use it to substitute WSM, but for my rotisserie stuff. I get quite nice distance from fire, it keeps the temps fairly nice (not like WSM though). Only challenge I might face is that the lid...

    Controlling temp with OTG

Terve Antti! Where are you located? In Espoo/Helsinki area there are few quite good sources for Butt (or Lapa luulla), like K-supermarket Mankkaa or Stockmann. You just have to order beforehand so they don't make minced meat out of them. Ribs, not so much luck, even they are easier to find. I...

    Moldy wood

I bought this from Ikea: IKEA PS FÅNGST Hanging storage/ 6 compartments. Easy to keep different woods apart and good air circulation. It's also surprisingly strong, I have it almost full of dry wood and only the top ring is twisted (making the topmost compartment bit smaller).

    Homemade smoker jacket

Hi, looks great! Where did you get the fabric and the thread? It's not snowing yet in southern Finland but probably will be in few days, so this might be something I'd like to do also. I've smoked successfully when it's freezing, but it does use a lot more charcoal than normal temperatures.

    Frozen butt

Nice to know this can be done! I'd say we are quite special crowd, who else would say "on a whim" about something that takes 17 hours to finish .

    Pro Q stackers won't fit

I bought one earlier this summer and it sure doesn't fit... I did not need it earlier, but had finally time to do the flip mod and tried to twist the lip a bit. Tested it this weekend and while it worked quite ok (I only cooked some ribs on top grate) the stacker got so stuck to the bottom that...

    Substitute for kosher salt?

Thanks for the reply. As sea salt is one of the cheapest things you can buy from grocery stores in Finland, I haven't given much value to it. It was nice to hear that I'm not "missing out" on something because of this. Don't know if I should tell this, but we use sea salt liquid to keep main...

    Substitute for kosher salt?

First of all, thanks for writing the books and making the excellent videos! I have really enjoyed reading them and cooking from them. I like the new book a lot, excellent guides and tasty pictures (my two-year-old son likes to read it with me and we "eat" from the pictures ). Otherwise Chicken...

Visit to Weber Corporate Offices re: 18" & 22" WSMs

They actually market their briquettes in Finland under the Weber brand. 10kg ~ 22lb bag is 12 Euros ~ 17,5 USD. Here the price is very reasonable compared to other brands, specially so because of the very high quality. Last year they were made by Australian company with subheading "Heat beads"...

Problem finding right Performer hose adapter

No problem, I had a look on the manual from Weber US and the parts diagram seems exactly the same. I could not find any information about this for Performer. There was a long discussion about baby Q, but the problem is that with baby Q, you replase the whole unit (including the regulator). In...
