Sorry folks had to do it...asked my sweetie what she wanted for Mother's Day and she replied...good ole cooking from yours Truely!!(girl after my own heart)...picked up some rib eyes and salted them for about an hour, washed them off and hit them with some pepper and garlic..let them get up to room temp and fired up the red head!!

Opened up a raspberry ale from the local brewery!

Grabbed a chair and watched the red turn colors!

Steaks at the flip!!

Hit them with some garlic butter and added some asparagus and bread!

And plated it up with some left over shrimp from earlier!!

Good stuff..steaks were a bit salty so I may cut the time down to about 30 minutes next time...my wife loved it!!
And I'll leave ya with a couple boat pics...we escaped Friday nite and ran the boat down for a little R&R to Tracy arm..lots of ice burgs but not a fish , crab or shrimp to be had!! Good weekend ..nice to overnite on the boat and get away from the phone and tv!!

Thanks for looking and hope everyone had a relaxing and nice Mother's Day!!

Take care!!

Nice lookin' meal, Morgan. And beautiful scenery.
Ever time I cook steak (which ani't much), it seems I'm puttin' less and less salt on 'em?

Steak....shrimp...Gus...Bread, all looks great Morgan. I have never had that brew, but years and years ago I cut my teeth on craft beer by drinking a raspberry / wheat beer that was made in SLC Utah.

Great looking steak and sides Morgan!!! I do that salt trick a lot, one of my favorite ways to do a steak. I seem to get the best results salting them 30-to 45 minutes depending on the thickness of the steak.
