That was yesterday's lunch - here's today. I removed the lower grate on the 18" wsm & placed the fire grate & ring there - it cooked a lot like a grill like this.....first time I tried this I think

I love broccoli soup too so I'd trade you sometime :)

edit: I've been eating a little differently due to recent strength training.....aiming for 346g carbs, 139g protein (not sure the weight training program thinks this is enough - they'd suggest >230g I'm sure), & 2770 calories....those are just the initial 'my fitness pal' suggestions since I started tracking macros (cal/carb/protein/etc). I'm gaining weight like crazy & that's a hard thing for me to see......especially since I've struggled with my weight in the past.... I hope I'm doing the right thing.

Not sure about what the right nutrition plan is for weight training (I have noodle arms), but I'm working on going the opposite direction with the weight....hence the soup!

Easy recipe: Remove florets from two sm-med heads of broccoli, steam for four minutes with lid on in about a cup of chicken broth + 1 tsp minced garlic, blend in a blender with 1 tsp soy, 1 tsp dijon mustard, and 2 Tbsp milk (I used 1%.) Add salt/pepper to taste. It's somewhere between a soup and a puree with that much broccoli, but really good. If you have any of your bread that went stale before eating it all, homemade croutons add a nice touch.....as does diced ham, etc, etc.

Good luck with your weight training!

I would gladly pay you Tuesday for some of those! Wait a sec. This is Tuesday. Next Tuesday! Yeah. That's it! Looks good!

I'll take either the hamburger sandwich OR the Brats....No Correction, I'll take one of each please!!!!! Great Cook!

Thanks :)

I need to be going the other direction too - I'll def try your recipe - maybe even for lunch today. For my broccoli soup I take a cauliflower/potato/cheese recipe from The New England Soup Factory cookbook & replace one head of cauliflower with 1-2 heads of broccoli - yours is much healthier, just a few clicks above juicing it seems (I like vegetable juices and also like to juice fruits that might be a little past their prime).

**in case anyone's wondering - I have my burgers down to a science on the gasser, they always turn out great. I like to cook them over charcoal but they always shrink too much over charcoal and I just haven't figured that out yet...hopefully one day soon..

I just warm up the gasser for ~5+ minutes with all 3 burners on medium, set the patties down on the first side & set a timer for 4 minutes, flip, place cheese on them if using, place buns on top rack, & set the timer for 3 minutes on the 2nd side. That's been turning them out just like I like them for the last 10+ cooks I bet.

Clint, you're a nasty, nasty man ;) Shame on you posting those pics while I'm looking out the window at a foot of snow and winds bringing the temps down to -18oC.
