Woodland--Turf--and a little Surf

Son wanted venison steak, Jo and I were having chuck eyes.
The package from his processed deer just said 'steak'
Well it turned out to be 2 round steaks, knew these are not the best cuts for grilling.
So I gave them a marinade of milk mixed with Stubb's Beef Marinade.

Don't blink, the surf was 6 large pink shrimp for an appetizer, cooked fast, eaten even faster.

Woodland steaks on.

Turf steaks next.

All of it.

My plate, with some stick salad.

Chuck eyes were great, as always, and the venison steaks were tender and tasty, but had a lot of connective junk in them.
Will try a package of 'chops' next.
Might have to trim and do kebabs.
Need to make jerky too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful cook Bob! Your plate looks great and the steak is perfect! I also like serving a romaine salad like that as well. Delicious!

Beautiful looking plate of food Bob! Does adding the milk to the marinade act as a tenderizer?
I have never seen or heard of that one.

I've seen lots of deer steak. Never ever seen chuck eyes in the meat dept. here. Regardless, it all looks stellar. Great looking food.
