First time buying this cut of beef. Torn between smoking like a brisket and smoking to medium rare. Any and all input will be appreciated.
Perfect. Another excuse to buy Weber rotisserie. Many thanks.
Watch the video first. Direct heat is great. Beyond tender and delicious.
That’s my way as well. Usually done on the rotisserie.I’ve only ever grilled picanha cut into steaks on skewers. Fantastic flavor and a real looker if you prep them like the Brazilian steak houses.

that's money. but i spin by hand since the WSK doesn't have a spinner (yet). and please use lump, not briqs. or burn some oak and make your own hot coals.Have you ever considered spinning the Picanha directly over the coals with the lid off?

i wish there was/is an oem fitment for such an attachment. one side of me says buy the 22" one and cut it and extend the ring to the needed 24" using rivets to secure the expander section. or just buy the spit and motor and fab a simple support system.Anyone have a rotisserie for the WSCG? I’ll bet it’s available in Germany! I have it on good authority that SS GBS units for the 18” are! Why not here!!?? I’d be in that like sauce on ribs!i wish there was/is an oem fitment for such an attachment. one side of me says buy the 22" one and cut it and extend the ring to the needed 24" using rivets to secure the expander section. or just buy the spit and motor and fab a simple support system.
